Events

Bringing our community together through meaningful events that honor Cooper's memory and support warrior families.

Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children, yet only about 4% of the U.S. government's annual cancer research funding is dedicated to childhood cancer (National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 2025).

We are trusting God to use the Cooper Steadman Foundation to provide hope and support to families facing childhood cancer while helping advance the research needed to better understand its causes and move us closer to a cure.

Hope for Every Child

Childhood cancer facts

  • Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States.
  • Nearly 17,000 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer every year.
  • About 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed before their 20th birthday.
  • The most common childhood cancers include leukemia, brain tumors, lymphomas, neuroblastoma, and thyroid cancer.

Childhood Cancer at a Glance

Thanks to advances in treatment, more than 85% of children now survive five years or longer. But survival is only the beginning.

Nearly 2 out of 3 childhood cancer survivors experience long-term effects from treatment that may impact their heart, brain, growth, fertility, hearing, vision, or emotional well-being. Many require lifelong medical care and support.

Beyond the Diagnosis

Read Our Story →

In the summer of 2024, our lives changed forever when our two-year-old son, Cooper, was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Through months of hospital stays, treatments, and unimaginable challenges, we witnessed the incredible power of faith, community, and compassion. Cooper's story is the heart behind everything we do, and his legacy continues to inspire our mission to support families navigating childhood cancer.

Cooper's Story

A childhood cancer diagnosis impacts the entire family. From long hospital stays and financial strain to the emotional weight of everyday uncertainty, no one should have to face this journey alone. The Cooper Steadman Foundation is committed to supporting our Warrior Families with financial assistance, practical resources, and compassionate encouragement—helping ease burdens so you can focus on what matters most: your child and your family.
